5x - 6y = 24

subtract 5x from both sides

5x - 6y - 5x = 24 - 5x

-6y = 24 - 5x

Divide both sides by - 6

-6y / - 6 = 24 - 5x / -6

y = 1/6 ( 5x - 24 )

x - axis interception points of 1/6 ( 5x - 24 )

x - intercept is a point on the graph where y = 0

solve 1/6 ( 5x - 24 ) = 0

5x - 24 / 6 = 0

5x - 24 = 0

x = 24 / 5

point x : ( 24/5 and 0 )

x - intercept is a point on the graph where x = 0

solve y = 1/6 ( 5x - 24 )

y = 1/6 ( 5 * 0 - 24 )

y = - 4

point y : ( 0 and - 4 )

attached graph

hope this helps!
