2/3 is greater than 5/8 because if you multiply 8 by 3 you get 24(2*8=16 , 16/24) (5*3= 15/24 ) This is how I will do it , maybe I am wrong or right so let me know !

Change both to decimal and compare.

2/3
2 ÷ 3 = 0.6

5/8
5 ÷ 8 = 0.625

0.625 is greater than 0.6
5/8 is greater than 2/3.
