Let's make x the smallest number. Since they are even numbers, it must be increased by 2 each time.

x + x +2 + x + 4 + x + 6 + x + 8 + x + 10 = 270
6x + 30 = 270
6x = 240
x = 40

The numbers should be 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, and 50. Hope this helps!
