+ use t for the number of hours the meeting room is rented
+ college charges a reservation fee of $49 and an additional fee of $5.40 per hour.So we have 49+ 5.40t
+
the film club wants to spend less than $81.40 on renting the meeting room, and we need:49+ 5.40t< 81.40
or 5.40t < 81.40- 49
and 5.40t< 32.40
t< 32.40: 5.40= 5.629
So
the possible amounts of time for which they could rent the meeting room 5.6 hours
