If a car is steadily following the path that was chosen by driver it is called as traction. Friction between the wheels of the car and road help the driver maintain the steadiness of the movement as the wheel rotation is a huge aspect in traction. So traction control is major essential for car especially on sloppy, slippery and uneven roads.

I believe the answer is Traction.
Good traction define a situation where drivers are able to bring/control the vehicles to the way where they intend it to be.
When they lost control in slippery road for example, we will describe the situation as 'lost of traction'
