B is incorrectly punctuated because you should not use a comma before and if you are only talking about two qualities. This rule also applies to proper names, verbs, ordinary nouns and anything else. Therefore, the sentence would be correct if it read: "On our trip we will be driving and taking the train". No comma between the two elements in the coordination.

What is more, in the second row of examples D is also incorrectly punctuated. There should be no comma between the verb and the preposition. You shold not use a comma to separate a verb from its direct object unless the words between them require special punctuation.
