y -3x = 2
y = 3x + 2 so slope = 3
parallel lines, slope is the same so slope = 3
passes through (6,1)
y = mx + b
b = y - mx
b = 1 - (3)(6)
b = 1 - 18
b = -17

equation
y = 3x - 17

hope it helps
