Based on one of my lessons form this semester, they kept the slaves around on the plantations to learn their African religions. Which therefore changed the southern way of life.

They did not have much access to information on how religion was practised in other plantations, only what was tradition where they were. Therefore how the practised religion would be based on how generations before them practised Giorgione.
