In order to determine how much flour was used, sum all given fractions, as follow:

first sum 2/3 and 3/4:

2/3 + 3/4 = (8 + 9)/12 = 17/12

then, sum the previous result to 5/12:

17/12 + 5/12 = 22/12 = 11/6 = 1 5/6

Hence, 1 5/6 pounds of flour
