14 less than 19 equals 5.
Less than is another way of saying subtract. To find the unknown number, add 5 to 14. 5 + 14 = 19. Want to check your work? 19 - 5 = 14, or 19 - 14 = 5.

Okay, so write this out: 14 - x = 5. Subtract 5 from 14; what do you get? That will go in "x". Hope I helped, but try to figure this out by yourself using the equation I put, haha.
