Arithmetic Sequences are sequences that are gotten by adding (or subtracting) the same value to each term preceding it.

Geometric sequences are sequences that we get when we multiply (or divide) the same value to each term preceding it.

Arith Metic Sequences have common differences whereas Geometric Sequences have what's called the common ratio.
