First, solve the number of pounds of candy owned by Marvin.

Marvin: = 7(3/4) = 21/4 pounds

Then, the number of pounds of candy owned by Walter is,

Walter = (2/3)(21/4) = 7/2 pounds

The number of pounds of candy left with Marvin,

Marvin2 = (21/4) - (7/2) = 7/4 pounds

If we are to subtract the number of pounds of candy owned by Walter from with that owned by Marvin,

7/2 - 7/4 = 7/4

Thus, Walter owned 7/4 pounds more candy than Marvin. The answer to this item is letter D.
