find the missing angle from both triangles.

the sum of all interior angles of a triangle adds up to 180°.

So:

A+B+E = 180

A+60+48 = 180

A= 180-60-48

A= 72

oppostie angles are equal ( both E = 48°)

Since they have 3 equal angles. They are similar by AAA
