What are the coordinates of the midpoint of the line segment with endpoints J(−6, 3) and K(4, −2) ?

M = ( (-6+4)/2, (3+-2)/2 )

M = (-1, 1/2)

You find the average of the coordinates.
So -6+4/2 = -2/2 = -1 = x
and 3-2/2 = 1/2 = y
The answer is (-1,1/2)
