-3x^2 + 5x + 12 = 0
-3*12 = -36
Now 9 * -4 = -36 and 9 - 4 = +5 so we write:-
-3x^2 + 9x - 4x + 12 = 0
-3x (x - 3) -4 (x - 3) = 0
(x - 3) is common so we have the answer which is:-
(-3x - 4)(x - 3) = 0
