What were two of the important points found in the Monroe Doctrine?

1. The western hemisphere is filled with democracies while Europe is monarchies. The two are different.
2. In a nutshell, if anyone from Europe tries any imperialism (colonization) on the western hemisphere, it will be considered an act of war against the United States.
