Jasmine and 3 friends is a total of 4 people.
Each of the 4 people ate 3/5 of a cake, so the 4 people ate a total of 4 times 3/5 of a cake.
4 * 3/5 = 4/1 * 3/5 = 12/5 = 2 2/5
Answer: They ate a total of 2 2/5 cakes.
