It's official definition is "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people".

Basically, though, it means that that nothing in the Constitution can be used against, or cancel, another part of the Constitution.

The 9th amendment states that there are other rights that may exist aside from the ones explicitly mentioned, and even though they are not written, they can’t be violated
