The formula is
R=I/pt
R interest rate?
I interest earned 150
P principle 2000
T time 3 years
R=150÷(2,000×3)
R=0.025 × 100
R=2.5%

Hope it helps!

Answer:

i = 2,5 %

Explanation:

Topic: Simple Interest

you have to be familiar with the concept of simple interest, this interest does not capitalize the interest made in a previous period of time, in other words you dont make more interest by the interest already gained in some period of time.

The Equation for calculating the interest is

I = P * n * i

where

I = ammount of gained interest

P = ammount of money invested

n = number of periods of investment

i = simple interest rate

having this equation you can find i, so them we have that

i = (I)/(n * P) =
(150)/(3 * 2000) = 0.025 = 2.5 %

so the simple interest rate is 2.5%
