You have to turn this equation into slope intercept form.
Right now this equation is: Ax + By = C
We need to turn it into: Y= mx + B

1. Move Ax to the other side of the equation:
2x + 5y = 14
-2x -2x
5y = -2x + 14 (You can put it in either order)

2. Divide the B from By
5y = -2x + 14
5 5 5
y = -0.4x + 2.8

The slope is -0.4 or -4/10 and the y intercept is 2.8

Slope = 0.800/2.000 = 0.400
