Based on the excerpt, we can see that Paine believes the king is there only to make Britain poorer.
He says in the excerpt that the only job a king can do is to make wars and give away money and territories, which in turn leaves the entire nation poor. As you can see, Paine didn't really have a good opinion about the monarch in general.
