A fabric store sells two types of ribbon. One customer buys 3 rolls of the lace ribbon and 2 rolls of the satin ribbon and has a total of 120 yards of ribbon. Another customer buys 2 rolls of the lace ribbon and 4 rolls of the satin ribbon and has a total of 160 yards of ribbon. How many yards are on one roll of lace ribbon and one roll of satin ribbon? There are 20 yards on one roll of lace ribbon and there are 30 yards on one roll of satin ribbon. There are 30 yards on one roll of lace ribbon and there are 20 yards on one roll of satin ribbon. There are 40 yards on one roll of lace ribbon and there are 10 yards on one roll of satin ribbon. There are 10 yards on one roll of lace ribbon and there are 40 yards on one roll of satin ribbon.

The answer is the first one: 20 yards on one roll of lace ribbon, and 30 yard on one roll of satin. Took me a while of trying to comprehend the question and overcome hurdles of miscalculations, but there's the answer. If there are 20 yards on one roll of lace (ribbon), Then the first costumer bought 3 rolls of 20, which is 60 yards. If there are 30 yards for satin, then the first costumer also bought 2 rolls of 30, which is also 60.

Add the two amounts together, and you get 120.

Same for the second, 20 x 2 = 40, and 30 x 4 = 120.

120 + 40 = 160.

See? That was surprisingly easy for something that took me so long.
