Has broad and moderately steep flanks and a steep summit. it results from the eruption of a mixture of both lava flows and pyroclastic deposits that contain less fluid materials and travel shorter distances.

This is a composite volcano. In contrast to shield volcanoes, these tend to have a much steeper structure that is formed from those levels of lava. Shield volcanoes are much more like their name implies: a wider and flatter structure, like that of a warrior's shield.
