to find the area of a circle leaving it in terms of PI

just do r^2 where r = radius

so 18^ = 324

so the area is 324π^2

Hey there!

The formula for finding the area of a circle is
\pi
r^(2).
Our radius is 18 in., and we already have the value for pi, 3.14.
Let's plug in our values into the equation.

a =
18^(2) * 3.14
18 * 18 = 324
324 * 3.14 = 1017.36

Our area for the circle is 1017.36 in^2.

However, in your terms, the answer is 324
\pi

I hope this helps!
