Given: The circumference of a circle is 53.4.
The formula for circumference is C = pi*d (and we are told to use 3.14 for pi).
Thus, the diameter (unknown) is c = C/pi = 53.4 / 3.14 = 17.0.
The radius is half that: 8.5.

if C=2pi times r, then r=C divided by 2pi, just use your calculator, punch in 53.4 ÷ 2 ÷3.14, the answer should be 8.5
