Use the formula for the volume of a cylinder.
V = area of the base * height
area of the base = π (radius)^2
V = π(radius)^2 * height = π(8 in)^2 (18in) = 1,152π in^3
If you use π≈3.14, you get
V = 3,617.28 in^3
