Two numbers have a sum of 1,212 and a difference of 518. Which system of equations could we use to solve this problem?

Explanation:

If you read the question carefully you can see that first it says sum, sum is the answer of 2 numbers added like 2 + 2 = 4 so the first line will be

x + y = 1,212

and because only after sum it says difference, difference is an answer of two numbers that were subtracted like 2 - 2 = 0, that means that the second line is

x - y = 518

Answer will be:

x + y = 1,212

x - y = 518
