f(a+2) means everywhere you see an x in f(x) you put (a+2). Now, I'm assuming that since there's no parenthesis.. 3x is not part if the fraction. If it is then the answer will not be the same.

f(a+2) = 3(a+2) + 5/(a+2)
= 3a + 6 + 5/(a+2)

Answer:
\text{f(a+2)}=3a+6+(5)/(a+2)

Explanation:

The given function:
f(x)=3x+(5)/(x)

To find the value of
\text{f(a+2)}, we need to replace the value of x by a+2, we get

f(x)=3(a+2)+(5)/(a+2)\\\\\Rightarrow\ \text{f(a+2)}=3a+6+(5)/(a+2)

Hence, the value of
\text{f(a+2)} is given by :_

\text{f(a+2)}=3a+6+(5)/(a+2)
