Hello there,
Bike riding= 2/3 hr
Homework = 1 3/4 hr
= 7/4 hr
You need to make both the denominators the same, which is 12
2/3(x4 on both side)= 8/12
7/4(x3 on both sides) 21/12
Difference= 21/12-8/12
= 13/12
=
1 1/12
Hope this helps :))

2/3 hour is 40 minutes. 1 3/4 hour is 1 hour and 45 minutes. So she spent 1 hour and 5 minutes or 1 1/12 hour longer doing homework.
