Are you more likely to find hydroelectric power in Washington and Oregon or on the Great Plains? Why?

Washington and Oregon will have much more hydroelectric power. (In fact, Oregon receives nearly 50% of all its electricity through this means.) This is due to the numerous waterways that cross the state, allowing for a much easier conversion than in the Plains states, in which converting the water to electricity would be expensive and much more difficult.
