We know that in a kite adjacent sides are equal and diagonals meet at right angle bisecting one diagonal only.

In the picture we seen that AO and OC are adjacent sides

Hence AO = OC

8x-1=6x+9

Subtract 6x

2x-1=9

Add 1

2x=10: x=5

Now diagonal AC = 2 AB

AB =3x-2 = 3(5)-2 = 13

Hence AC = 2(13)

=26 units

Option c is right.
