3√x+2 = √x+4

divide both sides by 3

√x+2 = √x+4 / 3

remove radical by squaring both sides

x+2 = x+4/9

x+2 = x/9 + 4/9 =

8x/9 = -14/9

8x*9 = -14*9=

72x = -126

x = -7/4
