first you multiply 15 and 13 to find the perimeter but to find the area you just add 15 by 15 and 13 by 13. The sum of both will get you the area

Problem
Find the perimeter and area of each figure.
Result
1. P = 56 A = 195
2. P = 76 A = 345
Solution
Perimeter = 2(
l
+
w
)
Area =
wl
1. P = 2(15 + 13) = 2(28) = 56
A = 15 · 13 = 195
2. P = 2(23 + 15) = 76
A = 23 · 15 = 345
