A=324\pi yd^(2)

1) We need to remind ourselves of the formula for the area of a circle. And, that the diameter is twice the radius.


\begin{gathered} D=2R \\ 36=2R \\ (2R)/(2)=(36)/(2) \\ R=18 \end{gathered}

2) Therefore, we can write out the following:


\begin{gathered} A=\pi\cdot r^2 \\ A=\pi\cdot(18)^2 \\ A=324\pi yd^(2) \end{gathered}

So this is the answer
