The cost of living last year went up 6%. Fortunately, Alice Swanson got a 6% raise in her salary last year. This year she is earning 35,100. How much did she make last year? Round to the nearest hundredth.

I got 35,099.4 but says its incorrect.

35,100 x .06 = 2106

just subtract 35,100 - 2106

and the answer is: 32,994
