3x+4>5(x+2)

Distribute

3x+4 > 5x+10

Subtract 3x from each side

3x+4 -3x> 5x-3x+10

4 > 2x+10

Subtract 10 from each side

4-10 > 2x+10-10

-6 > 2x

Divide each side by 3

-6/2 > 2x/2

-3 > x

Since x must be less than -3 the only statement that would be true is x< -6
