You can easily find the slope of the line from these 2 intercepts / points.
0-[-6]
m = rise/run = ------------ = 6/2 = 3 = m
-2-0
Now stick values into the point-slope formula as follows:

y-(-6) = 3(x-0), or y + 6 = 3x, or y = 3x - 6 (answer)

The formula would be:
y = mx + b

Now, let's look at the information we know.
m = slope
b = y-intercept
y-intercept = -6
x-intercept = -2

First, we would need to determine the slope. The formula for slope is m =
\frac{ y_(2) - y_(1) } { x_(2) - x_(1) }

Plug your coordinates in and solve it.

(0 + 6)/(-2 - 0) = 6/-2 = -3

Now, since we have the slope and y-intercept, we are ready to plug them into the formula.
y = -3x - 6

I hope this helps!
