Write the following equation in slope intercept form. y – 3 = -2 (x -5)

This equation is currently in Point Slope Form. You can easily convert this form to Y Slope Intercept by following these steps.

Add 3 to both sides.

y = -2(x-2)

Simplify.

y = -2x + 4

y - 3 = -2x -10
+3 = +3
y = -2x -7
