The labyrinthodont lived in Antarctica. It is a reptile and extinct amphibians subclass, known as the very first vertebrates to walk on land. In the mountains of Antarctica in the Transantarctic during the austral summer, in 1969-1970 bones of Lower Triassic vertebrates were excavated. It includes the labyrinthodont amphibian.
