A. Common cold

It's a self limited viral infection that typically improves in 7-10 days. Treatment is usually supportive (ie, hydration, cough drops, etc) though zinc has been shown to decrease symptom duration a bit. Flu tends to be more severe with muscle aches, headaches. It can be deadly in elderly and children.

These would be symptoms of a common cold (A). The flu has more intense symptoms like fever, muscle aches, chills, and congestion. A cold is more manageable with symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, and congestion.
