What are the smaller parts that make up carbohydrate

Depends what you mean by smaller parts? It can be saccarides, I.e monosaccharides and disaccharides . the molecular component "smaller parts" of carbohydrates are carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Hope I helped.
