One number is 3 more than twice another number. if the sum of two number is 39, find the two numbers

(X+3)^2-x^2=39 x^2+6X+9-x^2=39 6x+9=39. 6x=30 x =5 x+3=8

X=3+2y
X+y=39
3+2y+y=39
3y=39-3=36
Y= 12,x= 3+2*12=27
