-3/4*(x+2) = 6 /multiply both sides by (-4/3)
-4/3*(-3/4)*(x+2) = 6*(-4/3) /-4/3*(-3/4) = 1
x+2 = -24/3 /-24/3 = -8
x+2 =-8 /subtract 2 from both sides
x = -8-2
x = -10
