You take the cost 18.4 multiply by 1.75 to find out the total cost of the peaches then divide by 4 to split the cast and you answer should be roughly 8

Answer:

Cost per friend = 8.05 $

Explanation:

Four friends purchase 18.4 pounds of peaches.

The peaches cost $1.75 per pound.

Total cost of peach = Total pounds x Cost of peach per pound

Total cost of peach = 18.4 x 1.75 = 32.2 $

Number of friends dividing the cost equally = 4

\texttt{Cost per friend = }\frac{\texttt{Total cost of peach}}{\texttt{Number of friends dividing the cost equally}}\\\\\texttt{Cost per friend = }(32.2)/(4)=8.05\$

Cost per friend = 8.05 $
