A flower shop received a total of 24 boxes of roses. Each box had red, yellow, and white roses. There were 16 roses in each box. The shop received a total of 125 red roses and 112 yellow roses.

How many white roses did the shop receive?

First, multiply 24 times 16 to give you a total amount of roses, 384. Second, subtract 125 red roses and 112 yellow roses to give you the amount of white roses. 384-125 (red) = 259. 259 - 112 (yellow) = 147. There are 147 white roses.
