slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
(0,4)...x1 = 0 and y1 = 4
(-8,-1)...x2 = -8 and y2 = -1
now we sub and solve
slope = (-1 - 4) / (-8 - 0) = -5/-8 = 5/8 <=
