Determine he simplest form of the expression -3(-4a+3)+7a

The first thing you would do is distribute -3 to the numbers inside the parenthesis.

So -3 times -4a is 12a (negative times a negative is positive).
Then -3 times 3 is -9.
Add the two numbers and you get 12a-9. Don't forget the 7a. We have to add that too.

So we would get: 12a - 9 + 7a.
Now we combine like terms (12a and 7a which equals 19a.)

And our Final Answer is 19a - 9.
