Answer:the factors are r= -2 or r= -2.6

Explanation:

5r^2+23r+26=0

The equation cannot factorized

So the general formula would be used

r = [-b +-√(b^2 -4ac)]/2a

a = 5

b =23

c = 26

r =[ -23+-√(23^2-4×5×26)]/2×5

= [-23+-√529-520)]/10

=(-23+-√9)/10

=(-23+-3)/10

r = (-23+3)/10 or r= (-23-3)/10

r= -20/10 or r= -26/10

r= -2 or r= -2.6
