The Hyksos, as an invading force, brought advanced bronze weaponry to Egypt at the end of the Middle Kingdom. How did the pharaohs of the New Kingdom adopt this technology to the empire's advantage?

They used it for better tools and weaponry which in turn led to better crop yield and stronger weapons. They also used it for chariots to strengthen the joints in some areas

Answer:

Between 1800 B.C. and the year 1550 B.C. the second intermediate period of Ancient Egypt developed. At this time the Hycsos arrive and invaded Egypt under the command of Salitis.

The pharaohs of the New Kingdom needed a rigorous organization for their military and conquest campaigns. They adopted war technology and bronze weapons introduced by the Hycsos.

Inspired by the weapons of the invading forces the pharaohs of the new kingdom improved the quality of metal weapons by making copper and tin alloys in proportions that provided them with greater resistance. Also, they adopted several weapons of the hycsos. Some of these weapons were the “triangular arch”, helmets and armors with metal mesh applications. They were also inspired by the scheme with cavalry and the war chariot units (fighting cars, communications cars and exploration cars).
