The answer is D. If you substitute those values for n, you should be able to find that 4 makes the expression equal to 6.

3n-(2 + n)
= 3n - 2 - n
= 2n - 2

if this 2n - 2 equal to 6 then

2n - 2 = 6
2n = 8
n = 4

answer
D.4
